I’ve been sporting my new favorite tank by LnA….the ‘Side Tail Tank’  in white.  I absolutely love love LOVE it!  It’s one of the best tanks I’ve bought this summer.  It’s perfect with my distressed jeans and shorts.  I’ve also worn it with my other favorite purchase, Linq’s boyfriend blazer!

It’s Restaurant Week in NYC (through September) and I can recall the day Jan and I experienced the tradition.  It was long morning on the Hampton Luxury Liner (2 1/2 hour bus ride into the city) and we needed to find a restaurant ASAP.  Of course, we made pit stop at Anthropologie (one of my favorite stores) to do some retail therapy.  However, that’s where we found Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill next door.  It was extremely crowded and a bit chaotic.  Our waiter suggested that we skip the regular menu for their Restaurant Week ‘specials’…it was totally worth every bite!

Restaurant Week is a tradition in NYC and if you ever get the chance, I recommend you research on which restaurant is participating.

I had baked chicken smothered in their signature barbeque sauce topped with mango chutney served with an unusual style of polenta….yum yum!

Jan, what did you order??  All I remember is that there was nothing left on either of our dishes.  Everything was so delicious.

Don’t cash in on summer yet…the Dale Top is back by popular demand.  This lightweight top is made from a sheer gauze that is perfect for the weather here.  It’s so versatile that you can wear it with a pair of denim shorts or use it as a cover-up for a day at the beach.  It’s so chic yet practical for everyday!  And it’s great for traveling…just twist it and throw it in your suitcase.  The more wrinkles you have, the better it looks.

One of my favorite restaurants in Montauk, NY is a place called ‘The Harvest.’  The drive is about an hour long from East Hampton, but worth it.  As you walk in, you’ll see the view of the beautiful outdoor seating area (this is where I recommend sitting) and hear the sound of happy people enjoying their dinner.  The landscape makes you feel like your ‘home away from home.’  Whenever I’m headed to The Harvest, I start to feel a bit anxious knowing that I’m about to have a fabulous time with friends and family…AND a scrumptious dinner! 

The Harvest is a place to eat for two or a party of six.  I love it here because you don’t have to feel like you’ll miss out on anything.  There’s so much food that you can share!  If you don’t want to miss on the fabulous dishes, you can do the family style dining and share with the entire party.  This is the one restaurant I love taking my friends and family to when they came for a visit in the Hamptons….you should too!

It is seasonal so be sure they’re open before you drive down there.  And while you’re in Montauk, check out the historic lighthouse located at the very tip of Montauk…what a gorgeous sight.

Find ‘The Harvest’ on South Emery Street

As you wait for your table, you can stroll through the pond and feed the ducks that live here.  They adore customers who visit with a roll of bread!

We had a ‘family style’ dinner and ordered a variety of selections to dine from. Everything was delicious…from the steak and fries to the pizza!  (Of course they had more of an extravagant name, but I don’t remember them)  Our tummies were so stuffed but of course, we always have room for dessert.

The desserts here are to die for!!  I always order the ice cream sandwich with fruits (located on your left).  This is absolutely my favorite dessert and I really don’t like to share!  As you can see, it consists of 2 layers of thin, crispy wafers filled with vanilla ice cream and an assortment of fruits drizzled with chocolate.

(Who’s that girl?  That’s Julianne Moore’s daughter behind us.  And, she was there too!)

A fresh, new designer is coming to DOLCE next week….WILT!  The designer offers a collection made from luxurious cotton with a relaxed style and signature ‘tails.’  You’ll see a lot of designers implementing ‘tail’ finishes this fall…side and back.  It’s a big hit this upcoming season.  Anyone and everyone who loves fashion is getting their fix with Wilt.   These days, it’s all about the longer tanks and the slightly looser fit.   Get yours next week!

The ‘Hi-Lo Tank’ is the key to capture that ‘bohemian’ style we all dream about.  To achieve the look, pair it with your favorite slim fitting jeans, layer your long decorative necklaces, and finish it with some strappy open-toe sandals (my favorite is Matt Bernson’s KM Gladiators; available in silver souffle and black).  If you desire a polished look, throw a cardigan on and add one of your favorite belts…and  you’re ready to go!
