fall color trend

August 25th, 2010

{army green}

i don’t know about you but i’ve been on this army green fetish for months now.  ladies, it’s been reported that army green is the color trend for this fall.  so jump on the boat and start gathering your pieces.  time to shop!

wait, don’t put your military jacket away!  it’s a must for fall and most likely the key element to your outfits.

what is it with pants?  i’ve bought 3 army green bottoms this summer and can’t stop this madness.  if you’re not a lover of the chino fits, you can grab a pair in cargos (btw, everyone has them) or be a little different and get a pair of harem pants.  i know you’re probably thinking that they’re too baggy but designers are offering a tailored version this fall…super chic!  something to think about!

NATION Ltd, NATION Ltd, NATION Ltd.

the oregon tee is the most favored top this season and it will be available in army green in a matter of months!  i can’t wait to get a hold of one…

jen wasn’t lying when she said her tees were comfy…they really are!  extremely soft & comfy.  and you’re in luck, nation’s fall collection has arrived.

oregon tee

love how this drapes on the body.  and v necks are my favorite!  I always feel a little more feminine with them.

california raglan tee

my favorite tee is back!  this is going to be your favorite too…you’ll see!  this was always my first pick with my distressed bf jeans.

georgia tee

a spin off from the popular mississippi tee.  the georgia tee is exactly the same body but with a 3/4 sleeve.  this is going to look great under your jackets.

shades.of.grey.

July 21st, 2010

lately i’m all about the 101 shades of grey.  i can’t get enough of grey tops, bottoms, nail polish, shoes, and bags.  i love most greys except for the really flat silver grey (the matte version)…you’ve got to be careful as some greys may wash out your complexion and sometimes you’ll look older than your true age and we don’t want that to happen.  it’s not flattering for anyone.  think of grey as the new ‘black’ for summer.  as much as I love color, I love wearing black too.

the talya top is very feminine with the v-neckline and subtle sheer sleeves (the sheerness is located only at the top).  but i’ve mixed it up with my distressed boyfriend jeans, my favorite linea pelle vintage belt, and summer lovin’ espadrilles.  later, i’ll mix it up with my denim shorts, gladiators, & accessorize it with a bunch of bangles and necklaces.

i love nation’s cypress tee!  i can live and breathe in tees everyday.

and, designer jen menchaca loves to switch her playful candy-colored labels around.

The simple, unstructured white tee is often overlooked (and often tossed aside) but what you may not realize is that it acts as a strong foundation in your wardrobe.  Think about it for a second–it can be worn with your classic denim, paired with your sexy mini skirt, or complete it with your broken-in boyfriend khakis & your classic navy blazer….and don’t forget those accessories!  Ah, the possibilities are endless.  My favorite pick is the “mississippi tee” by Nation Ltd.

This tee is one of my other favorites by Nation.  It has that eye-catching drape that will go with all of your bottoms this summer!  Although it may not be hugging your curves, this top still offers that feminine appeal that you’ll want.

muscle tee

I’ve seen a ton of celebrities wearing muscle tees this season…and it’s got that bohemian look when you pair it with your distressed denim shorts, gladiators, & long layered necklaces–love it!  (I love how you can layer the tee with a longer tank too)
